The P Switch Jump is a basic trick used in Super Mario Maker. This trick allows Mario to perform a jump off a P Switch.
How It Works
When Mario lands on a P Switch he is considered to be standing on ground. During this time it is possible to perform a jump.
Frame Window
When Mario lands on a P Switch he stays in contact for 15 frames, however not every frame allows Mario to perform a jump. P Switches on levels created after version 1.40 may not stay in contact with Mario for all 15 frames depending on how he lands on it. The following is the frame window for P Switch jumps:
- Frames 1-3: Mario can jump
- Frames 4-6: Mario cannot jump
- Frames 7-13: Mario can jump
- Frames 14-15: Mario cannot jump
