A Kaizo Trap is any trap that was either used in Kaizo Mario World, or a variation on one of its traps. Now, it more commonly refers to any trap that is meant to annoy the player and are found in both Kaizo Hacks and Super Mario Maker.

A pit after the goal point which requires a P Switch or a certain status to avoid death, namely one that is out of sight from the initial crossing point.

An invisible coin block that is placed near a pit with the intention of making the player fall to his or her death.

Kaizo Block Trap[]
Placement of invisible coin blocks to trap the player in an inescapable area, especially after luring the player with something like a 1-up mushroom; also known as the Jackpot Trap.

Instant death upon starting a level, unless the correct Switch Palace has been cleared.

A pipe leading to a death room.

A Cheep Cheep that falls out of the sky or from a block that tries to kill the player.
